We would like to call your attention to the upcoming 14th International Student Poster Presentation Conference (ISPPC) to be organized between 22nd and 26th April 2024 at SEAS at all levels (BA, MA, and PHD). Students can participate with any intriguing ideas in the field of English Studies, e.g. with a project they have completed in one of your courses, or as their theses. It is an OFFLINE event this time, posters will be on display at SEAS for a week for colleagues and fellow students to see, and on 22nd (Monday) and on 26th (Friday) April 2024, discussions with the posters’ creators will be possible in person.
The Poster Presentation Conference provides an excellent opportunity for students to present and receive feedback on an interesting home paper, a chapter or initial ideas of their thesis, or some other research project in any phase. Poster presentations will consist of maximum A0–B0 size posters.
The opening event and the closing event of the week will be held on 22nd and 26th April 2024 at SEAS, respectively. Attendees and an academic panel will vote for the best poster in four categories (1. literature, 2. history and culture, 3. theoretical linguistics, and 4. applied linguistic and language pedagogy).
Posters are welcome in any of the following topic areas related to students’ work at SEAS:
- English and American literature
- English and American history
- English speaking cultures
- Theoretical linguistics
- Applied linguistics
- Language pedagogy (including ELT)
