Prof. Gumbrecht is an honorary professor of ELTE, Albert Guérard emeritus professor at Stanford University, and the professor of romance languages and literatures at the Univertsity of Jerusalem.
He will be introducing his latest book, “Beauty in Sport / Crowds in Stadia,” for the Hungarian translation of which he wrote a separate foreword. This event will take place on 28 November 2022, 6 pm at the ISBN Könyvtár+Galéria (1084 Budapest, Víg u. 2). The event on Facebook.
Prof. Gumbrecht will also give a public lecture at the Faculty of Humanities at ELTE (1088 Bp., Múzeum krt. 4., Building A, room 047) on 30 November 2022, 6 pm entitled „Crowds as Rituals of Intensity: In the Stadium and Otherwise”. The event on Facebook.
