Film and Culture Specialization

Submission Process:
Students interested in the Film and Culture Specialization should submit a one-page-long letter of motivation (approx. 500 words) in the second semester of their BA studies at SEAS to the following email address: velich.andrea@btk.elte.hu. Following this, students will have a short extrance examination in the form of a conversation with teaching members of the Specialisation, which is to showcase students’ interest in British and American film and visual culture. Students’ creativity and ability to work as team members is highly valued during the admission process as they are likely to participate in film-related projects and help organize the annual conference of the Specialization during the four semesters of their studies.
Study Plan:
Completion of 50 credits in 4 semesters.
Completion of Studies:
Students of the Specialization may submit a BA thesis on one of the main subjects on the Specialization and can choose to have as the subsidiary topic ('melléktétel') of their final examination ('államvizsga') on the subject of Film and Cultural Studies ('Film és kultúra államvizsga tételsor').
