Dr. László Kúnos
Biography:
László Kúnos, is winner of the József Attila Prize and the Excellence Award of Európa Publishing House (1985 and 1988). He is a literary translator, editor, and associate professor of ELTE. At the Department of English Studies, he lectures on British painting and architecture. He was secretary of the Hungarian PEN Club (1982-1993); foreign language editor-in-chief of Corvina Könyvkiadó (1987-2003). He has been director of Corvina Könyvkiadó since 2003.
He translated numerous works from English, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian, including plays, short stories and novels of Henrik Ibsen August Strindberg, Göran O. Eriksson, Ingmar Bergman, Per Olov Enquist, Ulf Peter Hallberg, Erling Jepsen and Inger Edelfeldt.
