Dr. Imola Nagy-Seres

Biography:

I completed my BA studies in Hungarian and English Literature at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. I finished my MA studies at the University of Leeds (UK), and my PhD at the University of Exeter (UK). I taught English literature at the University of Exeter until 2020. From September 2021 I am a lecturer in English at Eötvös Loránd University. In 2021 my article on Katherine Mansfield's breathing poetics won the British Association for Modernist Studies essay prize.

 

Research:

My main research interests are: modernist prose, 20th-century prose, the body in literature, literature and emotion, literature written by women, childhood and play in literature, Literature and visual arts, Virginia Woolf, Katherine Mansfield, Elizabeth Bowen, D. H. Lawrence, Jean Rhys.
