Dr. Aladár Sarbu

Between 1958-1963, he was a student of Hungarian and English at the Faculty of Humanities of Eötvös Loránd University. In 1962-1963, he studied and researched at the University of London. From 1963, he taught in the English Department of the predecessor of the present School of English and American Studies at the Faculty of Humanities of Eötvös Loránd University, where he was Head of Department from 1983 to 1990, Professor from 1992, and Professor Emeritus from 2010. From 1993 to 2009, he was head of the doctoral programme in Modern English and American Literature. From 2004 to 2008, he was a part-time lecturer in the English Department at the University of Miskolc. He researched and taught at the University of Liverpool in 1972-1973, Harvard University in 1978-1979, and the University of Minnesota in 1988-1989.
